We grow coffee trees using the mild climate of Hachioji, Tokyo. Through our owner programme, participants experience growing, harvesting and roasting their own coffee — a project rooted in the local community.
What we do
We actually grow coffee trees, using the mild climate of Hachioji, Tokyo. Members who join the owner programme (run through CAMPFIRE Community) are entrusted with their own coffee tree, and experience its growth, the harvest and the roasting with us.
- An owner membership programme running on CAMPFIRE Community (four owners have joined so far)
- Working with a Hachioji city council member (agricultural committee) on a plan to make Hachioji-grown coffee a local speciality
- Plans to expand cultivation, with harvest experiences and roasting workshops to follow
Where this is going
Our goal is to grow "Hachioji Coffee" into a regional brand. We are expanding the owner membership, scaling up cultivation and building out roasting and wholesale step by step — until it becomes a speciality product carried from our hometown to the world.
